This stunning unisex Victorian diamond solitaire ring is extraordinary.
Weighing 1.80 carats, the diamond is of an incredibly generous size, and it scintillates beautifully as it is turned in the light. It's an old mine cut diamond, which would have been cut by hand, and as such has a completely unique, cushion-style shape. It's held in place by eight discrete claws, which are designed to draw your attention to the diamond. The band has a gorgeous graduated design - measuring 9.5mm at the front, and tapering to 4.5mm at the back of the band.
This is a splendid example of Victorian jewellery, and it's in a wonderful condition for a piece of antique jewellery of this age. The ring is currently sized to a UK 'W', US 11.25, but could be resized. The band is stamped 18 carat, with the maker's mark DW.A BD.
