This gorgeous art deco solitaire diamond ring is timeless.
A gorgeous old European cut diamond is rub-over set in platinum, and finished with a millgrain edge to the setting, giving it that signature antique aesthetic. The setting has been crafted with a beautiful gallery below the diamond. We estimate the diamond to weigh 1.25 carats or higher. Set on a D-shaped 18 carat rose gold wedding band, the use of platinum and wonderful 18 carat yellow gold together is a splendid touch, and the minimalist design allows the diamond to take centre stage.
The band measures 2mm at the back, tapering to the front, and is marked PT (for platinum) and 18ct on the inside. The ring is currently sized to a UK 'P', US 7.75, but could be altered by a few sizes. From the markings and the way that the ring has been crafted, we date it to the 1920s and believe it is British-made.
