This beautiful Art Deco diamond ring is the perfect right hand ring.
Four splendid old cut diamonds are grain-set into individual settings, two round, and two square, arranged in an exquisite quatrefoil motif. Each setting is finished with a millgrained edge, giving the ring that gorgeous antique look. We estimate the diamonds to weigh 0.25 carats in total.
The ring measures approximately 2mm in width at the back, and tapers to the front. The ring is currently sized to a UK M 3/4, between a US 6.5 and 6.75, but could be altered by a few sizes. The ring is hallmarked 18 carat gold, and has the mark for Birmingham, UK, and the date mark for 1932. It also features the maker's mark 'J.H.W'. From the age of the piece, we believe the white metal that has been applied to the top of the ring to complement the diamonds is platinum, in-keeping with jewellery making methods at the time.
