A one of a kind vintage cluster ring featuring a wonderful 1.49ct natural unheated royal blue cushion cut sapphire, mounted in an 18 carat white gold six claw, open back setting. The vivid stone is contrasted by 12 transitional cut diamonds weighing approximately 1.00ct combined, masterfully claw set around the centrepiece in 18 carat white gold, open back settings. To complete this ring the mount is designed as an open worked dome with split sections in the centre that bring the focus to the exquisite cluster. The piece measures 14.5mm wide at its front, graduates down to 6.5mm at the back and has a gross weight of 9.6 grams. France, circa 1940's. French hallmark. UK finger size 'N 1/2'.
