This wonderful vintage platinum cluster ring features a natural royal blue oval sapphire weighing 2.02ct in a four claw, open back setting. The vibrant stone is beautifully surrounded by a row of alternating semi rub-over set baguette cut diamonds and claw set round brilliant cut diamonds. A delicate ribbon inlaid with eight cut diamonds is meticulously twisted around a solid gold spring completing the intricate cluster and bringing the total approximate diamond weight to 1.20ct. Finally, the exquisite cluster sits atop a thin split shoulder shank decorated with swirls on the inside. French hallmark, stamped PT. Circa 1950's. UK finger size 'J'.
