This antique Albert chain, dating from 1900, is made in solid 9ct rose gold and retains its original T-bar and double-sided swivel fob. A spectacular example of its kind, its 14 inch length makes it perfectly suited to being worn around the neck as a choker.
The curb links have a warm rose gold tone, with every individual link stamped for 9ct gold, a wonderful detail that reflects the quality of the piece.
A traditional non-swivel lobster clasp fastens the chain, while the 4.4cm T-bar provides the characteristic Albert detail. Both the clasp and T-bar are also stamped '9' and '375'.
Suspended from the chain is a square swivel spinner fob, measuring approximately 4.8 x 3cm. One side is set with deep reddish-brown carnelian, while the reverse reveals dark green bloodstone with its naturally occurring red flecks. The stone section rotates within its rose gold frame, allowing either side to be worn facing forwards. Small scroll details and bead accents decorate the frame, adding a softer touch to the strong geometric shape of the fob.
The fob is also stamped '9' and '375', and the complete piece has an impressive total weight of 54.48 grams.
