Dating to the 1920s, this spectacular Art Deco Toi et Moi ring pairs two old European cut diamonds in a fluid crossover design. The two principal stones sit closely together between the opposing curves of the ring, giving the setting its distinctive asymmetrical appearance.
The old European cut diamonds weigh approximately 1.30ct combined and are individually rubover set in platinum. Their broad facets and individual character are characteristic of diamonds cut by hand during the period.
Sweeping up towards the centre, the 18 carat yellow gold shoulders are topped with platinum and set with four eight cut diamonds to each side, weighing approximately 0.10ct in total.
Made in England, the ring is finely crafted in 18 carat yellow gold and platinum. It weighs 4.03 grams and is a UK finger size 'P 1/2'. Stamped PLAT, 18CT.
