Full of delicate detail and fresh green colour, this beautiful late Victorian pendant brings together peridots, rubies and seed pearls in an openwork lavalier design.
Made in England during the 1890s, it is crafted in 15 carat yellow gold, with flowing gold curves that curl outwards from the centre.
A round faceted peridot sits proudly in the middle, held within a fine milegrain edged setting. Small seed pearls follow the gold scrolls, while three larger pearls sit individually within the open work design.
Two small round rubies add touches of rich pink along the centre, leading down to a second round peridot suspended beneath the pendant. This freely moving drop gives the piece a delicate elegance when worn.
The pendant suspends gracefully from a 17.5 inch 9 carat rose gold fancy long-and-short link chain, finished with a secure barrel clasp. Stamped 15CT to the pendant and 9CT/375 to the chain. Weighing 6.42 grams together.
Paired together, the 15 carat yellow gold pendant and the 9 carat rose gold chain complement each other beautifully, with the difference in gold tones barely noticeable.
