This exquisite opal and diamond cluster ring dates to the 1950s or 1960s and is simply sublime.
The opal, measuring approximately 8mm by 10mm exhibits a truly stunning play of colour, with blue, green and red all visible. It's one of the most striking precious white opals we have ever seen. As you turn the opal, red and violet become visible, and the stone looks different from every angle. It is accompanied by 14 fine quality Swiss cut diamonds, beautifully claw-set in 18 carat white gold.
The band is stamped 18ct and measures 2.2mm at the back, tapering to 1.5mm at the front. From the stamps on the inside of the band, and the way in which the ring has been crafted, we believe this ring was made in the UK. The ring is currently sized to a UK N1/2, US 7, but could be altered by a few sizes.
