Introducing a beautifully detailed emerald, diamond and pearl brooch, with an elegant openwork design finely crafted in 18ct white and yellow gold.
At its centre sits a wonderful pear shaped emerald of approximately 0.75ct, held in yellow gold claws and surrounded by flowing diamond set loops that give the piece its spectacular silhouette.
Across the brooch are an impressive 82 fine quality round brilliant cut diamonds, weighing approximately 1.25ct in total, grain set into the elegant white gold bow. A single rubover set diamond sits above the emerald, while a freshwater pearl hangs freely below, suspended from a delicate diamond set leaf motif cap.
Touches of yellow gold appear around the emerald and throughout the open-backed reverse, revealing the intricate construction of the piece. The two gold tones follow the curves of the design, with a traditional yellow gold pin fitting running across the back.
Made in England during the 1960s, the brooch weighs 7.92 grams and measures approximately 5 x 3.8cm. Stamped 750.
