Dating to 1959, this striking double headed snake ring is crafted in 9 carat yellow gold, with two opposing snake heads curling towards one another across the front of the finger.
Each snake is set with an oval shaped garnet that beautifully complements the warm tone of the yellow gold. The heads are formed from sweeping, curved sections of gold, with small details worked into the surface to bring out the shape of each snake.
The design continues smoothly into the shoulders, gradually narrowing towards the back into a polished yellow gold band.
Bold and unusual, yet very wearable, this is a wonderful vintage piece with a design that immediately catches the eye.
Finally, the ring measures approximately 13.2mm wide at the top, tapering to approximately 4mm at the back. It weighs 5 grams and is currently a UK finger size 'Y', although it can be resized upon request. Stamped 375.
